This is an original watercolor on paper adhered to board by American painter George Ernest Colby (1859-1922). Click on image to enlarge. I framed it myself with conservation materials and UV-blocking glazing. The image area measures 7.5” x 13.5” and the overall frame size is 15.5” x 21.5.”
George Ernest Colby was born on March 29, 1859 in Pleasant Grove, Olmsted County, Minnesota. He died on April 3, 1922. Colby painted from 1898-1913, and among his subjects are the Rocky Mountains.
